It's a late fall day, a cloudy Ohio day. My walk in the park for exercise turned into a wander. The mist began and a quiet settled in. My awareness of the birds was replaced by the company of squirrels. So many squirrels that I could hear the one up on haunches beside the trail … Continue reading I will walk far enough
I know it already. I've been taught it repeatedly. I've even told the fact to others, as though it is some wise maxim that I use to guide my life. But the truth is, while I know I must make exercise fun in order to do it, I usually just don't bother with the fun … Continue reading Exercise? I love it.
These are my notes from leading group meditation today. I realize that it might serve as a good reminder to those who attended or just a nice synopsis of Meditation 101 in my experience. Enjoy! It's fun to teach meditation in my own community. In years gone by, I used to teach at conferences or … Continue reading What are we doing here?
There was a time, when I was maybe 14-15 that I ran away from home. I just wasn't happy with what was going on around me and I needed some new space. I ran about a mile up the road to a deserted barn and camped in the hay mow. My dad picked me up … Continue reading Running away from home
I am leading a group meditation monthly at 6th Street Yoga. My goal is to introduce people to a meditation practice that anyone can do and benefit from. To some I'm an artist but to many … Continue reading Don’t tell me you can’t meditate!
I have vowed lately to myself to not post, discuss or even worry about political issues right now. When I traveled last year, I was so busy as part of a group. This year, I'm traveling solo. Some of you want to know more, so here's my blog. It's intended as memories to me, but you're welcome along. I do tend to babble on and on and on. Enjoy or pass it by... or just check … Continue reading Travelogue, Costa Rica, Jan 2017
I encourage you to not let current news lull you into a habit of predicting doom and gloom. Whatever you spend your time thinking about (worrying about) is time spent creating real, measureable energy. This energy surrounds you and is your contribution to the world. It can be hard with the media bombarding you … Continue reading I’ve got better things to do…
A dream map is not a new concept. I'm not sure where I first learned of it. But I've done them since I was a teenager. They used to be pictures torn out of magazines and pasted together on a piece of cardboard. The idea is to give yourself a visual of where you want … Continue reading Dream on!
